Rosenheim – Self Catering Chalet
The carefully boothed patio in the midst of a wide open space and farm road, taking you to the Grobbelaarsriver, is situated on the side of Swartberger Lodge and it seems that the South South-Eastern side of the Lodge belongs almost exclusively to Rosenheim and its guests, except for sharing a parking area with Robin’s Nest.
At this self catering chalet, one can engage in highly confidential to cheerfully silly conversations and nobody will know it. A perfect spot for self catering holidays.
Standing on the wide lawn overlooking Rosenheim with its row of roses down the adjoining farm road, one entirely loses sight of the rest of the lodge. Turning to the left, It has a far-reaching view over the Klein Karoo countryside filled with small farm landscapes and typical Karoo vegetation. The open spaces contribute to the ‘free spirit’ of this self catering chalet!

Accommodation Klein Karoo
The vibe is even more ‘young at heart’ when you enter the interior… You are immediately presented with a lovely double bed lounge area with extra sleeper for a child. Perfect for the young family that wants the luxury of an extra ‘bed’ in the main room and ample space for some jawboning or even serious conversing with the kitchen neatly packed away in its own little room but close enough to serve each other without seeing it as labour. Should you have bigger kids or older people in your party, they might find the two-bed bedroom at the back of the cottage a great escape from the busy lounge sleep area but close enough to the welcoming kitchen. All rooms are neatly tiled and may be a welcoming asset for young moms. The small yet decent bathroom has all the necessities of a basin, toilet and shower but don’t think you’ll be able to leave your ‘vanity case’ in there.
The patio is equipped with a lovely barbecue, solid wooden table, chairs, bench and aside from the lounge-sleep-area promises to become your favourite get-together-area at this self catering chalet. Children have enough space to run around without having to escape mom’s protective eye in order to stretch their legs. Enough private parking and space for even a trailer.
